Inside, they take a look at the "50 Greatest Soundtracks Ever", the ones that "opened our ears and smashed our assumptions". Movies Rock Top 10 Soundtracks: 1) Purple Rain 2) A Hard Day's Night 3) The Harder They Come 4) Pulp Fiction 5) The Graduate (1967 Film) 6) Superfly (1972 Film) 7) Trainspotting 8) Saturday Night Fever 9) American Graffiti 10) The Big Chill Can't argue with the top 2 by Prince & The Beatles. Purple Rain is definitely deserving of the top spot. It features the classic "When Doves Cry" which stands the test of time, even if MC Hammer tried to taint its image with his prayer-based rap. The Beatles also deserving and probably were a close second. After scouring the list of 50, just a few rap/hip-hop entries made the list: Crooklyn at #28, 8 Mile at #33 and Friday at #39. While these are good offerings, there may have been an oversight on the part of the selection committee when it comes to hip hop movie soundtracks. If you've never heard the Juice Soundtrack Labels: Albums, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Movies, Rappers, Soundtracks
