2008 American Idol Results - Season 7 Final 10

The American Idol results are in and as of Wednesday night we have the Final 10 decided.

This past week has been all about the 2008 American Idol contestants performing songs by one of the most legendary bands of all time, the Beatles. Several of the contestants on Idol this year may become legends of their own. On Wednesday night, Ryan Seacrest helped reveal the Top 10 finalists for 2008. David Archuletta continues to be a teen sensation, as the girls screamed for the 17 year old. He went to the top 10 along with Brooke White who performed Here Comes the Sun a night ago, complete with yellow Sun dress. Ramiele Malubay, who's the shortest and one of the cuter contestants also made it to Top 10 status. Chikeze still has the most memorable of performer names and could easily have a contract despite a loss. It's easy to picture him in an Outkast or Gnarls Barkley type video.

in the bottom 3 stools were all females: Carly Smithson, Kristy Lee Cook and Amanda Overmeyer. Randy and Paula both agreed that America made a mistake by allowing Carly to be voted down there. Amanda was sent home due to fan deliberation. Since the start of this season, I haven't been a personal fan of Amanda's style, which is definitely a raspy rocker style. She may still go on to some sort of fame, due to exposure on the show.

American Idol's Season 7 Final 10:

    David Archuleta
    Jason Castro
    Chikezie
    David Cook
    Kristy Lee Cook
    Michael Johns
    Ramiele Malubay
    Syesha Mercado
    Carly Smithson
    Brooke White

Kellie Pickler of Season 5 (2006) performed on the show with a song about Red High Heels. Also of note, Judge Simon Cowell received an audience question about why he spends so much money on cars and not clothing. Cowell told everyone that unlike "someone" (Ryan Seacrest), he doesn't have an ego. Seacrest said he's heard Simon just bought a million dollar car. A viewer asked if Simon would ever do a sequel to his Kiss scene with Paula Abdul, and Simon remarked he would because Paula is a good kisser. There was also a funky, retro Black & White video shoot for "Should I stay or Should I Go", a Ford SUV commercial where the Idols sang while they were chased in SUV's by a UFO.
