Kid Cudi's first solo album "Man on the Moon" promises to be one of the top releases in hip hop this year, coming on the heels of his mega hot tracks "Day N' Nite" and the Kanye West/Common collab joint "Make Her Say" which borrows the Lady Gaga Poker Face sample. If you're a fan of Kanye style hip hop, or that of older groups that paved the way like Jungle Brothers, De La Soul and Tribe Called Quest, you'll probably enjoy Cudi's dark yet refreshing rap tracks from the new album. On the second track of his new album, Cudi gets real introspective as he looks inside his soul to the depths of depression, discussing his upbringing, drugs/alcohol as problem solvers, and what it's like dealing with celebrity hop-hop fame. Cudi starts out with "I got 99 problems, and they all b--s"/Wish I was Jigga carefree livin" and continues from there over the grating guitar beat with futuristic drum pattern and beeps.
