LP Stalker Sentenced

Sometimes fans get just a little bit too crazy when it comes to seeing or trying to meet their favorite musicians. In this case, a female fan practically had a GPS tracking system on the frontman from Linkin Park. Now she will be serving time for her obsessive interest in the LP singer.

According to E Online:

A New Mexico judge sentenced Devon Townsend to two years in a minimum-security prison Wednesday after she pleaded guilty to stalking Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington and to harassing his wife.

The 29-year-old Townsend was given 60 days to surrender to the Phoenix-area prison as part of her plea agreement, where she is expected to receive mental health care.

In addition to stalking, Townsend copped to having used her position—and computer access—at the Sandia National Laboratories, a U.S. security laboratory, to hack into various accounts held by Bennington and track his and his family's whereabouts. (Source)

The lady mentioned above also hacked into Chester’s accounts to get phone numbers, then called to threaten his wife twice. This allowed police to trace the calls back and apprehend her. Pardon the LP joke, but now she will be just "Numb" behind bars. So the moral here is it’s ok to idolize, fantasize and obssess over your favorite stars, but just don’t get this carried away.
