Chris Brown-Rihanna Plot Thickens

The biggest news at this year's Grammy awards had nothing to do with the show itself but instead revolved around a romantically-involved pair of no-shows. Chris Brown and Rihanna quickly became the talk of the town and tabloids as it was slowly revealed that they pulled out of performing. The story unfolded that Brown had assaulted a female passenger in his car, and then it came to light that the female was Rihanna. It was reported that Brown left Rihanna with bruises on her forehead, a bloody lip and bloody nose. This lead to the initial charges made for Brown's arrest. Now according to showbizspy.com, Brown is now being investigated for attempted murder based on allegations made by Rihanna. According to showbizspy's report: Rihanna told police that, while the two were fighting in his rented Lamborghini, Brown said to her, "I'm going to kill you," while his hands were around her neck. The Umbrella hitmaker - who is said to be cooperating with the cops' investigation - also told authorities that Brown choked her until she lost consciousness. The major obstacle in getting any serious charges to stick against Brown will be the fact there were no eye witnesses for the incident besides the two singers. Brown who is currently out on a $50,000 bond is staying at home with his family in Virginia. He released a statement discussing how he is "committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person". Rihanna has yet to make any public comments regarding the incident.
