Beyonce, Chris Brown & Nicki Minaj Among 'Craziest Moments of 2011'

The surprise Beyonce baby bump reveal, along with controversies involving Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj made a recent list of crazy moments from 2011. Why were Breezy and Nicki on the list, and who else made it on there for this past year's moments? According to VIBE's "That Sh*t Cray!" list, they selected 10 of the craziest moments from celebs this past year. One was Beyonce's pregnancy which broke a record with its number of Twitter mentions after the MTV VMAs. Another was Chris Brown going ballistic on Good Morning America after he was asked one too many Rihanna questions. There was also Nicki Minaj, not for her GMA nip slip, but instead for her strange moment in mid-July. Apparently, Nicki got hit in the lower lip by a man, but never pressed charges. Some presumed it was a close friend named Safaree Samuels, who may have been her secret boyfriend. Also on the list is the guy from LMFAO for his altercation with Mitt Romney on a flight, as well as Wiz Khalifa for performing a mock sex act on stage with girlfriend, Amber Rose. Rick Ross was put on the list for the scary seizures he suffered this past year, while Charlie Sheen got on there for his crazy behavior back in February and March. Looking back, it certainly was a year of craziness for many celebrities. Some were good (Beyonce expecting), while other's not so good (Rick Ross' health situation). There were wardrobe malfunctions, crazy outbursts, good announcements, and plenty of spotlight, both positive and negative. Jay-Z on Oprah Winfrey's Show

(Jay shows Oprah how it's done on the M-I-C) Rap star and business media mogul Jay-Z was featured as a guest on Oprah's show this past Thursday. Oprah made a visit to Jay-Z's Marcy Projects for part of the interview and also had the rapper in studio as well. Jay remarked how astonishing it was to have Oprah standing in the projects with him years later. Jay also told stories of life growing up on the streets, getting involved in the drug game, and his father's leaving early on in his life. Oprah asked if Jay-Z ever did drugs in all the years he was dealing and Jay gave a vehement "No". Oprah said she heard good dealers never do drugs and Jay quipped "they got that idea from Scarface". It became a mob scene when Jay and Oprah hit the streets of Marcy projects as crazy fans showed up. Jay said his relationship with Beyonce is the one sacred thing he can keep out of the public eye, which is why the two of them rarely speak about each other to the media. Oprah also took an in-depth look at Jay's business ventures at Jay's Rocawear headquarters in Manhattan. Jay-Z said he still gets a "wow" feeling when he steps off the elevator and sees the "Rocawear" sign on the wall. Jay told Oprah he feels he has such a passion for what he does and that's how he got where he is now. Oprah also brought up the Rihanna-Chris Brown domestic violence situation. Jay-Z said Rihanna can grow from that situation and become a hero for other young people going through similar problems. Oprah also brought up that she tends to not support rap music due to misogynistic lyrics and the use of the "N" word to which Jay said the current generation has taken the power out of the word, using it more as a term of endearment. The segment closed out with Jay delivering a bit of a freestyle rap, trying to educate Oprah on how to rap. Chris Brown Apology - YouTube Video

R&B singer Chris Brown posted a recent two minute long YouTube video apology on his Myspace profile. In the video, Brown discusses how ashamed he is of his actions and how he always has tried to be a good example. Brown apologizes to Rihanna as well as the fans for what he did, and talks about wishing he could live those moments over again. Chris Brown says nobody is more disappointed in him than he is, and also mentions that he is seeking help to make sure what happened will never happen again. Brown asks for forgiveness, and says he plans to live his life so he is truly worthy of the term "role model". No comments have been offered back from Rihanna as of this moment.. Aubrey Drake Graham with Rihanna?

Recent sightings have linked R&B pop singer Rihanna to a new beau, Aubrey Drake Graham. Just recently, people.com reported that Rihanna has been quietly seeing Chris Brown since their altercation. During a recent outing to Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge, Rihanna went for bowling and drinks with 10 friends, and apparently Graham was very close to her during the time. Reports say the pair were kissing "here and there all night". The new pair was also seen leaving the scene together. (source: inentertainment.co.uk) Aubrey Drake Graham is a young Canadian rapper and actor of age 22 who plays a physically disabled character, Jimmy Brooks, on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. He's also a mixtape rapper for now, who has released several mixtapes and is anticipating a studio album release next year. Graham goes by the name "Drake" as a rapper, and is currently signed to the Cash Money and Universal Motown Records labels. In 2006, he released his first ever mixtape "Room for Improvement", and has released three more mixtapes since then, with "So Far Gone" being his latest in 2009. Drake's worked with the likes of Lil Wayne, Robin Thicke and Little Brother so far, and his current single "Best I Ever Had" has reached #25 on the Billboard Hot R&B Hip Hop Airplay chart as of 5/23/09. Rihanna & Chris Brown Reunite at Diddy's Place

According to the latest reports, the couple which had all sorts of controversy surrounding them are apparently back together. 21 year old singer Rihanna, who was the reported victim of Chris Brown's recent assault and criminal charges, received a call from the 19 year old Brown on her 21st b-day. This was also the same day that the horrifying photo of Rihanna's bruised face was released on the internet at sites such as TMZ.com. The duo has apparently reconciled with Rihanna's family ok with it. They were recently photographed in Miami together at a home owned by Sean "Diddy" Combs, with Brown seen riding a jetski and Rihanna sun bathing in a bikini. According to NY Daily News: Domestic violence experts said they were dismayed, but not surprised, to hear the pop beauty had given Brown another shot at romance after he allegedly beat her Feb. 8. Yet they remained concerned what message this would send to the 21-year-old "Umbrella" singer's fans. "It makes perfect sense that she would go back to him," said Madeline Garcia Bigelow, director of the domestic violence project at Manhattan's Urban Justice Center. "The reality is that when you're in an intimate relationship with anyone you tend to give people chances." It's entirely possible that this wasn't the first altercation they've had and it may not be their last. According to some early news programs' guests, a victim of domestic violence will return to their abuser if they feel their family may be threatened. In other instances, it's a sign of insecurity which keeps the battered woman with the abuser. Questions are definitely swirling as to what Rihanna is thinking by reconciling with Brown, and it is hoped that Brown is already entered into some sort of intense counseling if this is the case. Brown is set to appear in court this coming Thursday.

Chris Brown-Rihanna Plot Thickens

The biggest news at this year's Grammy awards had nothing to do with the show itself but instead revolved around a romantically-involved pair of no-shows. Chris Brown and Rihanna quickly became the talk of the town and tabloids as it was slowly revealed that they pulled out of performing. The story unfolded that Brown had assaulted a female passenger in his car, and then it came to light that the female was Rihanna. It was reported that Brown left Rihanna with bruises on her forehead, a bloody lip and bloody nose. This lead to the initial charges made for Brown's arrest. Now according to showbizspy.com, Brown is now being investigated for attempted murder based on allegations made by Rihanna. According to showbizspy's report: Rihanna told police that, while the two were fighting in his rented Lamborghini, Brown said to her, "I'm going to kill you," while his hands were around her neck. The Umbrella hitmaker - who is said to be cooperating with the cops' investigation - also told authorities that Brown choked her until she lost consciousness. The major obstacle in getting any serious charges to stick against Brown will be the fact there were no eye witnesses for the incident besides the two singers. Brown who is currently out on a $50,000 bond is staying at home with his family in Virginia. He released a statement discussing how he is "committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person". Rihanna has yet to make any public comments regarding the incident.

51st Grammy Winners & No Shows

(Plant & Kraus score big at 51st Grammys) The 51st annual Grammy awards showcased a true melting pot of music, merging all sorts of genres and performers up on stage. This year's Grammy award show featured a slew of performers doing double duty, not just performing once but in collab mode with other artists. Justin Timberlake held his own as he went into a duet with Al Green on "Let's Stay Together", then joined rapper T.I. for their current single. Jay-Z lent a hand to Coldplay with his guest rap on "Lost", then joined a pregnant M.I.A., T.I., Lil' Wayne and Kanye West for "Swagga Like Us" which brought the house down. Kanye also joined Estelle on stage for her pop hit "American Boy". Wayne also performed his heartfelt tribute dedicated to the many homeless and displaced individuals affected by the New Orleans tragedy. Robin Thicke provided the singing, while Weezy also performed "Big Chief" and "Tie My Hands". Wayne picked up a total of 4 awards including Best Rap Song (Lollipop), Best Rap Solo Performance (A Milli), and Best Rap Collab (Swagga Like Us). He soon won the Grammy for Best Rap album, but then fell short in the Album of the Year category to Robert Plant and Allison Krauss who won a host of awards. Coldplay also picked up 3 awards despite 7 total nominations. Jennifer Hudson won the R&B Album of the Year award in a touching moment. The award was presented by longtime diva, Whitney Houston, who received a standing ovation. Hudson, who had recently been in the news due to the tragic murder of several of her family members, thanked all her family, both those in heaven and those still on earth. Hudson later went on to perform one of her soulful ballads, ending teary eyed. Other performers included Katy Perry, The Jonas Brothers, Carrie Underwood, Paul McCartney with Dave Grohl, and a duet between teen sensations Taylor Swift & Miley Cyrus. Both singers were expected to be performers and were also nominated for awards. Kanye West = Elvis Presley?

Last night's American Music Awards were dominated by Chris Brown and Kanye West who each won three awards. Alicia Keys and Rihanna each received 2 awards. for their latest work, while Annie Lenox (Eurythmics) received an Honorary Award of Merit, presented by Justin Timberlake. Even Alvin & the Chipmunks won an award for the Favorite Album Soundtrack category. As for Kanye, this time around there was no whining over not winning a certain award, as West was announced the winner by a slurring Scott Weiland. Ye performed at the awards show along with Pink, Mariah Carey, New Kids, Leona Lewis and Coldplay. 2008 MTV Movie Awards Review

This past Sunday, the 2008 MTV Movie Awards came and went, quite possibly with little hype or hoopla, but that has been their mark of the past. The show takes a back seat to the MTV Video Awards. The premise of the Movie Awards show seems like it's for stars to promote their latest flicks. It's also a time for the movies that weren't recognized at the Oscars to get some nods, and stylish gold popcorn statues. Juno's Ellen Page was one of the few Oscar caliber contenders who won an award. Otherwise, awards were given to best kiss, best fight, best "movie so far this summer" and other categories that MTV producers dreamt up. The show was hosted by Mike Meyers and included only brief slapstick and comedy. The intro featured Meyers in a spirited dance-off against young R&B star, Chris Brown. There was no clear winner in this one. Various stars appeared on stage such as Diddy, Mini Me, Lindsay Lohan, Will Smith, and Tom Cruise who presented a Movie achievement award to the Sandman, Adam Sandler. Cruise's speech was humorous as was Sandler's guitar driven performance of "Simply the Best", complete with a video screen of his movie highlights going behind him. There were just two oter musical performances on the show, with the Pussycat Dolls and Coldplay singing their latest hits. While some of the onstage presentations and monologue moments were funny, the show seemed to lack the great movie spoofs its had in the past. In the past summer flicks were parodied such as having Jon Heder of Napoleon Dynamite in Batman. Or a parody of the Mummy featuring Snoop Dogg, Da Vinci Code with Jimmy Fallon and Andy Dick, etc etc. This year seemed to lack those, with the exception of Ben Stiller's attempt to hook up the Kung Fu Panda and Iron Man for a new movie. There was humor there, but Meyers seemed to deliver very little humor throughout the show. So quite possibly MTV has turned the awards show into a platform for its star presenters to pitch their latest projects in addition to a place to entertain.
