MTV's New Reality for Diddy & 50
In the tradition of Diddy's Making the Band which has spanned several seasons, MTV now has production plans for a show starring 50 Cent. According to Billboard.com, the show will feature contestants trying to do what it takes to get from the streets to where 50 Cent is. So it seems like a bit of a Hip Hop Apprentice for MTV, starring Curtis Jackson as Donald Trump. From Billboard.com: 50 Cent's still-untitled project will take the form of a reality show where 16 competitors "compete to learn and master the skills that took 50 from the streets to the top of corporate America." The winner will receive a full scholarship to either an undergraduate or graduate business program. The show will be executive produced by Michael Hirschorn, Stella Stolper, and Chris Choun for Ish Entertainment; 50 Cent; Chris Lighty for Violator Management. On the MTV side, Liz Gateley and George McTeague are overseeing production. MTV also has plans to do another installment of Diddy's Making the Band which will now be "Making the Rock Band". Quite possibly Diddy can help form the next Maroon 5 or Nickleback to join Danity Kane on tours. See 50 Cent, Cisco Adler, Shwayze on MTV Slate at Billboard.com.
