Mariah and Nick Cannon Married?

In Mariah Carey's latest music video her lover is played by Nick Cannon. Now according to recent reports, Nick and Mariah were married this past Wednesday. Other reports and rumors say they are just engaged, while others say this is a publicity stunt to hype Mariah's video starring Cannon. According to Newsday.com: Earlier this week, Carey, 39, was seen sporting a large ring as she and Cannon, 27, held hands at the bash at Cadillac Lounge at Tenjune after the premiere of her movie " Tennessee" at the TriBeCa Film Festival. The ring, jeweler Jacob & Co. confirmed to People magazine, is crafted from platinum and features a square, emerald-cut fancy light pink diamond in the center, surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds, flanked by two half-moon diamonds. The total carat weight of the ring - the center stone alone is 10 carats - is 17 carats, with a value of $2.5 million. Other Internet reports have speculated that Carey's ring is the same one Cannon gave to his former fiancee, Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks. But Ebanks's ring was 12 carats and made of colorless diamonds. Nick Cannon's first marriage comes as a major surprise in the music world. Mariah is basically a household name but Nick Cannon, while famous, is not well known. Regardless if the couple's happy more power to them! No word on any duet songs or albums coming from the recently hitched couple.
