Beyonce the New Wonder Woman?

beyonce knowles head shot

Hollywood's hottest superstar Megan Fox has already taken her name off the table for the role of Wonder Woman in the TBA movie by DC Comics & Warner Brothers. Since that news, there's been recent rumors and murmurs that the role could be taken by Miss Foxy Cleopatra, aka the singing sensation from Dreamgirls, aka the girl in Pink Panther (a movie many have forgotten about), Miss Beyonce Knowles. Recently, Beyonce exposed her desire to play a lighter role than her recent drama films have had her in.

Beyonce gave the following to the LA Times when asked about the role of Wonder Woman:

After doing these roles that were so emotional I was thinking to myself, 'OK, I need to be a superhero.' Although, when you think about the psychology of the heroes in the films these days, they are still a lot of work, of course, and emotional. But there's also an action element that I would enjoy... I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It's time for that, right?

I would definitely have to keep it right for that costume. The way that Lynda Carter wore it, she was sooo fine. She was amazing. I saw her costume at the Met. Her waist was unbelievable. It was pretty crazy, actually, her proportions. But I love Wonder Woman and it'd be a dream come true to be that character. It sure would be handy to have that lasso. To make everybody tell the truth? I need that. It would come in very handy.

We can dream right? Just imagine Beyonce donning the Wonder Woman costume, and what type of music video might develop from this! Maybe a collab with her Boy Wonder, Jay-Z? After all, Jay-Z's Kingdom Come was an ode to DC Comics superhero Superman. Beyonce's upcoming movie is Cadillac Records which also features rap star Mos Def. She's also been working on her next studio album, and has two singles out "If I Were a Boy" and "Put a Ring on It".
