Off That Lyrics - Jay-Z feat. Drake

With Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 he features several of the up-and-coming young stars in hip hip including Mr. Hudson, Kid Cudi and rapper Drake. On the track off that, Drake helps provide the chorus which lets those who think they're trendy know that Jay's already been there, done that. Backed by a futuristic, funky Timbaland beat this was one of the first few songs leaked off the third Blueprint album. Here are the full rap lyrics for Off That by Jay-Z featuring Drake.

Off That Lyrics
Jay-Z feat. Drake

Welcome to the....future (Blue print 3)
hey hey
hey count me in
Find me a nice soft place to land ( I got ya Hov!)
I'm so high,
find me a place to land
(Come on now, come on now)
yea right there yea

Verse 1:

I'm so tomorrow, the ottomans is yesterday
Which means you want time to lay
So even if I slow it down, my sound is fast forward!
I'm just a runway show,
But I wear this on my plane, these my runway clothes
Cashmere sweats they come out next year
but these my last year sweats,
And my ho's so sick,
your new chick can't f--k with my old b---h
And you know this shit,
I'm professional they know this is,
I just may let you borrow this,
This the Blueprint n---a follow this,
This what what tomorrow is,
Welcome to tomorrow, B----h!

Chorus (Drake & Jay-Z):
Whatever you about to discover we off that
You about to tell her you love her we off that
Always wanna fight in the club we off that
But you can't bring the future back
Yall are steady chasin the fame we off that
Oversized clothes and chains we off that
N---s still makin it rain n' we off that
Cuz you can't bring the future back...

Tell them haters get off me
Cris we off that, tims we off that, rims we off that
Yea we off that is you still on that
and we still makin money cuz we still on that

Verse 2:
This aint black vs white my n---a we off that
Please tell Bill O'Reilly to fall back
Tell Rush Limbaugh to get off my balls
It's 2010 not eighteen sixty four
Uh, ya we come so far so I drive around town hardtop and its soft
In my Tribeca loft, with my high brow and my high yellow broad
And my dark skin sis, and my best white mate say what's up to Chris
How's that for a mix, got a black president got green presidents
Blueprints in my white ipod Black diamonds in my Jesus piece, my god
Ah, We ain't trippin off that,
It's a Benetton ad, n---a get up off that! uh

Verse 3:
I don't give a fidduck abiddout the widday you used to move
what you used to do,
and I don't give a fidduck abiddout
the b---s that you used to screw
What your future dude?
And we don't really care what you used to say
Unless that affects your future pay
I'm on the practice field runnin two a day
So I don't drop the ball when it's through my way
So I don't give a fidduck abiddout
the s--t that you probably did, who you probably is
The only time I deal in past tense, is I'm past rims and past tints
If you drivin' it, I drove it,
you got it, cuz I sold it,
You copped it, I bought it back
And we don't give a fidduck n---a we off that

Chorus (Drake & Jay-Z):
Whatever you about to discover we off that
You about to tell her you love her we off that
Always wanna fight in the club we off that
But you can't bring the future back
Yall are steady chasin the fame we off that
Oversized clothes and chains we off that
N---s still makin it rain n' we off that
Cuz you can't bring the future back...

Tell them haters get off me
Cris we off that, tims we off that, rims we off that
Yea we off that is you still on that
and we still makin money cuz we still on that

Timbaland's Cell Phone Album

timbaland

Super-producer and rapper, Timbaland is going to be creating a one of a kind album for music history. As the digital age is upon us, Timbo will be cranking out music exclusively to people's cell phones as a way to get new sales. According to Billboard.com:

As Timbaland's "Shock Value" goes up for five Grammy Awards, the hitmaking hip-hop producer has announced a deal with Verizon Wireless to make the first "mobile album," which will be exclusively available to subscribers of V Cast, Verizon's mobile entertainment service.

As Verizon's mobile producer in residence, Timbaland will produce one song per month throughout 2008. Each month, he will work with a different artist on a track while touring the country on the Verizon Mobile Recording Studio Bus, which will also capture making-of footage for V Cast subscribers on a dedicated Timbaland channel.

You've read it and heard it alot lately, especially in the past year, that music has moved away from traditional album sales. Lately music has moved more towards digital downloads, pirated music, ringtones, and now the first cell phone LP. Kudos to Tim for thinking up a clever new idea to continue selling music. See the full Billboard article here.

Timbaland's latest physical album, Timbaland Presents Shock Value is available at Amazon.com.

50 Cent, Wyclef,Timbaland and Mary J Juiced?

Timbaland muscles

This just in, baseball players and pro wrestlers aren't the only ones on roids. Now it looks like rap, R&B and movie producer superstars also turn to performance enhancing drugs to give them a boost. This comes from the Albany prosecutors report which took a look at the Signature company, which had also been linked to pro wrestlers receiving drugs. The wrestlers were given suspensions promptly by World Wrestling Entertainment.

According to Canadian Press:

"The Times Union of Albany newspaper cites unidentified sources in a Sunday report that R&B music star Mary J. Blige, rap musicians 50 Cent, Timbaland and Wyclef Jean, and award-winning author and producer Tyler Perry may have received or used performance enhancing drugs.

Soares has declined to comment on or confirm the identities of the stars mentioned in the report. His multistate investigation has focused on Signature Pharmacy of Orlando, Fla. So far 10 defendants have pleaded guilty and some professional athletes have been linked to the probe in news reports."

Timbaland definitely bulked up and got in shape quickly over the past few years. Wyclef and Mary J, your guess is as good as mine there. Read the full article here
