Carie Underwood's Red Dress a hit at CMA 2009

(Carrie Underwood & her infamous red dress, CMA 2009) Sexy country singer and former American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, made headlines at this past Sunday's Country Music Awards (CMA 2009), in more ways than one, as she and her outfit took over the awards ceremony. Underwood won two awards including Entertainer of the Year, an award won by only six other females in the history of the CMA's. The Dixie Chicks were the last females to receive the honor back at CMA 2000. Even though Miss Underwood won Entertainer of the Year and Top Female Vocalist at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada, it was her enormous flowing ballgown style red dress that Carrie Underwood wore which has people talking. The dress reportedly seemed to consume the stage and was ready to take over the entire venue. Carrie Underwood's red dress at CMA 2009 was described as a "cascading russet strapless ballgown", which she performed the song "I Told You So" in, live on stage. According to the Associated Press which was sworn to secrecy at the dress rehearsal, Carrie revealed some hints about her outfit prior to the CMA 2009 show. Miss Underwood described the dress as - "It's big," she continued. It's big. There's a lot — a lot of dress. Kind of like water, maybe? Like red water? That sounds scary, doesn't it? Maybe like lava. It's like lava. Or icing. Red icing." Underwood loves the fashion game, but as for the dating game she was recently spotted at a NHL Hockey game for the Ottawa Senators. Devyn Simone - Real World Brooklyn Reunion

If you caught the Real World Brooklyn Reunion but haven't watched the latest season of the hit MTV reality show, you were introduced to the beautiful Devyn Simone. As of Thursday AM, Devyn Simone was the hottest search trend on Google, most likely with her newest fans searching for "what is Devyn Simone's phone number" or email address, or measurements. The sexy 21 year old Devyn appeared along with her former roommates Baya Voce, Chet, JD, Katelynn, Sarah, Ryan and Scott on the Brooklyn reunion show Wednesday night. As with other former guests of the Real World house, Devyn seems to have parlayed her appearance into further superstardom. On Devyn's Myspace page you can see various photos of her modeling as well as doing TV hosting gigs and appearing in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The sexy Simone was a star before even joining the reality show's cast, as she was crowned Miss Missouri Teen 2005. Devyn who is originally from Kansas City, Missouri was working in New York as a public relations director for a fashion label called Jovani. This was going on just before the season premiere. According to the final episode of the show, Devyn was going to room with her fellow castmates Scott and Baya Voce in NYC. According to an interview Simone did earlier this year, she never finished college but instead has immersed herself in her career instead. As "The Pitch" puts it, it's like Devyn Simone was "drafted into the entertainment world". The Pitch: It's like you got drafted, but into the entertainment world. DS: Yeah! That's a good way to put it. It's like I got drafted. Who would turn that down? The pros say they want you, you're not going to be like, eh, let me finish. I told my parents that hopefully I won't have to. I mean, I think it's really important and I'd love to have a degree at some point, but just, in my nature, I'd so much rather be in my art than studying it. If you've got a spot, you better get in it and keep going. Now that the Brooklyn Real World Reunion has come and gone, Devyn can officially get her career in full gear. Eva Mendes has The Spirit

(Eva swoops in to seduce The Spirit) Tis' the season for the sexy women of "The Spirit"! The new picture by Frank Miller of Sin City & 300 fame opens in theaters Christmas day 2008. It'll be competing with two juggernaut stars in Brad Pitt (Benjamin Button) & Will Smith (Seven Pounds) on the same day, but the femme fatales just might take this one. During a recent interview on Regis & Kelly, actress Eva Mendes even mentioned she plans to buy herself a ticket to her own movie, Christmas day. Bet that theater does some business.. The Spirit's plot centers around a dead rookie cop, Denny Colt, who comes back from the dead as a masked superhero (played by Gabriel Macht) to fight crime in Central City. His nemesis is the "Octopus" played by Samuel L. Jackson, as well as a bevy of beauties who stand in his path as well. Included in these powerful female adversaries are Eva Mendes as "Sand Saref", Scarlett Johansson as "Silken Floss", and Jamie King as "Lorelei Rox". According to Mendes her character Sand Saref is a tough woman who's had 14 husbands, all who have wound up dead...some by accident, and some not so accidentally. Saref is also the only woman capable of breaking the Spirit's heart. The film will feature a look and feel very similar to Sin City. The gritty black, white and grey with splashes of color here or there and a dramatic on-screen comic book translation unlike any other superhero flicks you've seen. That's not to say this is going to outdo the Dark Knight or Batman by any stretch of the imagination, but between the sultry, seductive female villains and the visual atmosphere of the movie itself, it may be well worth the price of admission. Kanye - Alexis Engagement Ends

Diamonds may be forever in the world of the Roc family, but they won't be forever for Kanye and now ex-fiancee Alexis Phifer. Kanye decided to end their engagement due to "being focused on his show" (the Glow in the Dark Tour) and the fact the couple hit a rough patch. According to People: "They'd been having problems," a pal of West's says. "Kanye is really focused on his show; he's putting everything into the show right now. Alexis is a nice girl, but Kanye has been going through a rough time. They hit a rough patch and for now they've split." According to the friend, Phifer and West, both 30, had been spending less time together in the last few weeks as the Grammy-winning star prepared for his nationwide "Glow in the Dark" tour. Mariah Carey Theory of Relativity: E=MC2

That other "MC", Mariah Carey, has been making the rounds the past few weeks on talk shows and performed her new song on American Idol. In fact, last week's Idol featured the contestants singing Mariah's work. Mariah's last album "The Emancipation of Mimi" sold over 12 million copies after it arrived in 2005. Her new album just dropped last week entitled "E=MC2" on Island Records, and debuted at #1. She's finally enjoying career success once again after her stories of downfall where she had an emotional breakdown, the movie Glitter, a canceled record deal with Virgin, a divorce from her Sony president hubby and her overall questionable image. In a recent UK Guardian interview, Paul Morley talked to the 38 year old pop princess. Here's an excerpt from that interview, discussing Mariah's perceived image: We're sat in front of a large blow-up of the cover for her new album E = MC2, which uses the idea of a sultry, provocative Mariah draped in nothing but a feather boa. Selling yourself so blatantly as a sex object surely distracts from you being taken in any way seriously as an entertainer, or the kind of expressive, inventive soul singer you want to be seen as, and plays into the slimy hands of those who like to reduce you to a cartoon, a figure of fun, a dumb female money-making puppet. 'To be honest, I just like to have fun with my covers. It's like playing dress up. I call myself eternally 12, because I am, and if I was 12 that would be the photo I would like to have of me. I have pictures of me at eight on a piano wearing a boa. But at nine I was reading Norman Mailer on Marilyn Monroe ... The funny thing is ... and you're probably going to be, "Yeah, right," but honestly, this is how I would dress whatever I did, if I was a waitress or whatever. The Lovely Leona Lewis

Leona Lewis, pictured on the album above, is the recent music "talk of the town". I hadn't seen her before until Jimmy Kimmell's show which she appeared on the other night. The 23 year old singing sensation is gorgeous and talented just like a friend told me the other day. Lewis won the third series of "The X Factor" a singing talent show in the UK. She made it onto this series with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". After winning, she released the debut single called "A Moment Like This" in December 2006 and it was downloaded about 50,000 times within 30 minutes (a world record). The song was a cover of the popular Kelly Clarkson song. Leona's debut album, Spirit, was just released here this month, but had been released over in Europe back in November 2007. Her album was also the first by a British artist to reach to the top of the US Billboard 200. She's also been named Cosmopolitan's "Newcomer of the Year" for 2007 amongst several other awards. According to Wikipedia, Leona's musical influences include Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Joni Mitchell, Anita Baker, Eva Cassidy, Minnie Riperton, Toni Braxton, Oleta Adams, Mary J. Tonight during MTV's Reality show, The Hills, R&B sensation Alicia Keys makes her mini TV acting debut. Keys will star in a mini-series (commercial length show) called "Fresh Takes" which airs during The Hills commercial break. The show's premiere celebrates the launch of a new Dove fragrance-driven product collection aimed at the 20-something female crowd. You may have expected to see a meaner side of Beyonce Exposed when she was part of a prank on the Aston Kucher MTV show, Punk'd. The show involved Beyonce as a special guest celebrity who was set to rise up in a lift to light the star on a Christmas tree. Gleeful children waited anxiously below near Santa Claus and presents as the diva went to touch the star. There tends to be way too much talk these days about High School Musical star, Ashley Tisdale, so it's time to discuss yet another famous Ashley, Tatyana Ali from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Ashley was the daughter of the wealthy Phillip and Vivian Banks, and was always getting in and out of trouble thanks to her good buddy Will. Tatyana easily qualifies as one of the Hip Hop Honeys. Tatyana has come a long way since her birth in New York. She starred on the Fresh Prince show at the very young age of 11. Foxy Brown Wants Hearing

Foxy, holla if ya hear me...According to Reuters.com, imprisoned rapper Foxy Brown is pleading with a judge to release her from prison early. She was sentenced in October 2006 to three years probation after assaulting two nail salon stylists over a $20 manicure. Now while in jail, she's claiming that her hearing is in danger of becoming worse if she is made to sit behind bars rather than being treated. According to Reuters.com, Foxy wrote: "I ask you to please take into consideration that my health is in jeopardy," Brown wrote in a four-page handwritten letter to Judge Melissa Jackson. The letter was part of an appeal filed late on Tuesday at New York State Supreme Court. "Yes, I've made some bad choices and stupid mistakes. But please understand that sitting in a prison with murderers and criminals is not rehabilitating or what I need to deal with my inner issues." Foxy's real name is Inga Marchand (age 29) and she had surgery in January of 2006 to implant an electronic device in her right ear. It was used to reverse "profound hearing loss". The doctor who successfully treated the ear problem said if her hearing is further damage it will affect not just her hearing but her rapping/singing as well. The doctor claims it will impact her ability to maintain her rapping and livelihood. According to NME.com, Supreme Court Justice Melissa Jackson is asking for more info about Foxy's hearing impairment before she will release her for further medical care. If they can let Paris out so fast over a medical issue, why not Foxy? As of right now, there's no official word yet if Foxy will be having any "hearing"...
